Snips is looking for a Legal Intern to join our team in Paris.
As a legal intern, you will integrate our legal team to support Snips on a wide range of cutting-edge practical legal issues.
You will be involved in all of Snips' day-to-day legal activities first hand, including:
Commercial agreements: supporting the sales team to drive revenue, through the drafting and reviewing of license and services agreements, distribution agreements, and NDAs, optimizing and updating T&Cs, ideating, implementing, and updating processes or templates as required,
Personal data: GDPR compliance, other personal data work (e.g. with linguist or machine learning teams), preparing and conducting internal training sessions, writing blog posts/advocacy pieces,
IP: supervising brand and patent strategies and liaising with outside counsel, drafting IP clauses, advising other teams on IP issues (e.g. on open sourcing data sets), open source licenses, and other IP issues raised by their research,
Corporate: assisting with all corporate aspects if required, liaising with corporate counsel,
- Also supporting marketing, communications, HR, and other teams as required.
At Snips, you will receive top level training but also need to be ready to take on responsibilities, as you will be only the second member of the legal team, with the General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have strong generalist legal knowledge, a specialization or keen interest in technology, awareness of data protection laws, and experience assisting with corporate due diligence. This internship is for you if you want to learn how a start-up works from the inside and how your legal knowledge applies in practice, as you will be doing real work with all teams in the company on a daily basis.
Bonus points if you also have or want to learn general technical knowledge about machine learning, and if you are interested in legal operations, legaltech, and thinking about how to make the interaction between the legal team and other teams more efficient in the context of a rapidly scaling company.
